The associate will assist with daily operations at The Mill Ministry, including stocking, merchandising, and sales transactions. Training on The Mill's coffee menu and equipment will be provided. The candidate must embody the agency's purpose, philosophy, policies, and mission.

Schedule: Part-time, Monday to Friday daytime hours, with occasional Saturdays.

Qualifications:
  • Skills in proper telephone etiquette, active listening, and assessment.
  • Working knowledge of Point Of Sale (POS) systems.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to develop rapport through active listening.
  • Compliance with the agency's employment qualifications.
  • Respect for cultural diversity and fostering positive relationships.
  • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record and ability to operate agency vehicles.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist in maintaining The Mill's operations.
  • Participate in training of new employees.
  • Communicate professionally and courteously with internal and external contacts.
  • Represent BCH and The Mill positively.
  • Keep supervisors informed about work responsibilities.
  • Complete assignments and directives timely.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Perform tasks assigned by the Manager of Fancy Finds & The Mill.
Equipment:

Espresso machines, grinder, microwave, and other equipment.

Language Skills:

Ability to read, write, and effectively communicate in both written and oral forms.

Contact with Others:

Regular interaction with colleagues and outside contacts, representing BCH positively.

Mental / Visual / Auditory Demands:

Ability to interpret instructions, count money, and ensure transaction integrity.

Confidential Data:

Handle confidential information with care to prevent adverse effects.

Physical Demands:

Must meet physical requirements, including lifting over 25 lbs occasionally, with accommodations available.

Work Environment:

Indoor and outdoor settings, with varying temperature conditions.
