Job summary

The Hollow, located in the lobby of Hyatt House and JDV by Hyatt The Mindaro in Portland, seeks a morning Barista to greet Guests, craft Stumptown espresso drinks, and serve breakfast items with a friendly, upbeat attitude. You will be one of the first faces our guests see and help create a welcoming atmosphere.

The role emphasizes multitasking in a fast-paced morning shift, accurate order entry, cash handling, and teamwork with the hotel staff to ensure memorable Guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Fun, friendly, energetic, and outgoing personality.
• Experience in barista, coffee shop, restaurant, or hospitality is a plus; training available.
• Early-morning availability is required.
• Ability to interact with guests and maintain a welcoming atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve Stumptown Coffee espresso drinks, drip coffee, and other beverages.
• Prepare and serve breakfast foods and grab-and-go items
• Greet Guests, take orders, and provide friendly, upbeat service
• Accurately enter orders and operate the POS system
• Handle cash and credit card transactions responsibly
• Keep The Hollow clean, organized, and welcoming
• Stock coffee, food, supplies, and other products throughout the shift
• Follow food safety, cleanliness, and sanitation standards
• Multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced morning environment
• Work closely with the hotel team to create a great Guest experience

Are you a morning person who loves great coffee, friendly faces, and creating a positive experience for Guests? We’re looking for a fun, friendly, energetic, and outgoing Barista to join our team at The Hollow, the beautiful new coffee shop located in the lobby of the new Hyatt House and JDV by Hyatt The Mindaro.

As an Coffee Barista, you’ll be one of the first friendly faces our Guests see each morning. You’ll help create a welcoming atmosphere while preparing delicious coffee, breakfast items, and providing warm, efficient service.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and serve Stumptown Coffee espresso drinks, drip coffee, and other beverages
