Sodexo is seeking a Barista at OLATHE MEDICAL CENTER. You will deliver exceptional customer service while crafting beverages, handling sales, and maintaining a clean, efficient coffee bar.

Shifts vary, including days and weekends, with full-time employment and a pay range of $17.00 to $18.76 per hour. Responsibilities include greeting guests, preparing coffee and tea drinks, educating guests on offerings, managing supplies, and ensuring accurate cash handling.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience required.
• Knowledge of food preparation and sanitation standards helpful.
• Inventory control systems familiarity preferred.

Responsabilités

• Greet guests with quick, friendly service.
• Prepare hot and cold beverages to order.
• Maintain beverage quality and speed of service.
• Educate guests on menu offerings and upsell items.
• Arrange bar supplies and displays attractively.
• Clean coffee machines and prep areas regularly.
• Handle sales and cash register following cash-handling procedures.
• Be ready to stand or walk for the shift and lift up to 50 lbs.

What You’ll Do:

As a Barista at Sodexo, you will provide exceptional customer service while making hand-crafted, quality beverages. The general responsibilities of the position include those listed below, but Sodexo may identify other responsibilities of the position. These responsibilities may differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.

Responsibilities include:

• Greets all guests and provides quick, friendly, and personalized service.
• Mixes and serves hot and cold beverages such as coffee, espresso, cappuccino, café latte, tea, chai, fruit blend drinks, etc., while considering customer specifications.
• Works to maintain good customer relations and speedy delivery of all beverages and food items.
• Educate guests regarding menu offerings and initiate suggestive selling.
• Arranges coffee bar/cart supplies and cups/mugs to make attractive displays.
• Often cleans coffee machines, restaurant areas, and preparation areas.
• Records all sales, collects money, operates a cash register, and follows all cash-handling procedures as required.
• Significant walking or other means of mobility.
• Ability to walk or stand for extended periods of time, throughout the entire duration of a shift, which may exceed 8 hours.
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 50 pounds.
• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
• Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.

What You Bring:

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Customer Service related work experience.
• Must have knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, standards, and inventory control systems.
• Starbucks Baristas may be required to be certified.
