Job summary

Responsibilities

• Learn and maintain company standards and protocols.
• Understand and speak knowledgeably about the coffee program.
• Know and discuss all coffees served, including components, history, and brewing methods.
• Operate coffee brewing equipment, grinders, scales, timers, water towers, POS and mobile payments.
• Restock store areas including coffee bar and back rooms.
• Perform opening, closing, and mid-day tasks.
• Learn and perfect latte art.
• Maintain store cleanliness and order, including sweeping, mopping, drains, trash, surfaces and dishes.
• Provide guests with a memorable experience and take accurate orders.
• Resolve guest complaints with tact or escalate to leadership.
• Receive and sign for supplier orders and check deliveries for quality and accuracy.
• Record temperatures as required and work in high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Maintain health department standards and keep pastry, condiment, merchandiser, grab-and-go and walk-in areas organized.
• Adhere to dress code and display a positive attitude toward coffee and customers.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for learning and maintaining company standards and protocols.
• Responsible for learning, understanding, and being able to speak knowledgeably about the company and the coffee program.
• Responsible for knowing and being able to speak about all coffees served in the shop including but not limited to the coffee's components, history, and how to brew those coffees.
• Operates coffee brewing equipment, grinders, scales, timers, water towers, point of sale systems, and mobile payment system.
• Restocks all areas of store including coffee bar, & back rooms
• Performs opening, closing, and mid-day tasks.
• Responsible for learning and perfecting latte art.
• Assists in maintaining order and cleanliness of the store through things such as but not limited to sweeping , mopping, cleaning drains, taking out trash, surface cleaning, and dishes.
• Provides guests with a memorable experience.
• Responsible for taking guest orders and ensuring a complete and accurate order.
• Resolves guest complaints with tact and professionalism or alerts attending leader on staff to assist.
• Responsible for receiving and signing for orders from suppliers.
• Receives deliveries and checks for quality of items delivered as well as accuracy of delivery based on invoice.
• Responsible for taking and recording temperatures as required.
• Responsible for working in a high volume environment where efficiency, service, and quality must be maintained - crafts each drink with care.

• Keeps store clean, stocked, and organized including but not limited to pastry case, condiment station, merchandiser, grab and go refrigerator, bathroom, and walk-in refrigerator.

Computer Skills

• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Square point of sale system and Timestation software.
