Job summary

Legacy Kitchen in New Orleans is seeking an experienced barista to craft thoughtful drinks with a curious palate and an eye for detail. You will energize guests with a welcoming approach, dial in espresso, and keep a clean, organized station in a fast-paced cafe setting within the OnePack Hospitality Group.

You’ll engage with guests about origins, roast profiles, and tasting notes, share knowledge, and contribute to a warm, approachable coffee experience for every visitor.

Qualifications

• Experienced barista with a curious palate and an eye for detail.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process guest payments.
• Prepare or serve hot or cold beverages, such as coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees, or teas.
• Take guest orders and convey them to other employees for preparation.
• Provide guests with product details, such as coffee blends or preparation descriptions.
• Describe menu items to guests or suggest products that might appeal to them.
• Serve prepared foods, such as muffins, biscotti, or bagels.
• Clean or sanitize work areas, utensils, or equipment.
• Stock guest service stations with paper products or beverage preparation items.
• Weigh, grind, or pack coffee beans for guests.
• Coordinate with and assist fellow employees to meet guests’ needs and support restaurant operations.
• Attend scheduled employee meetings and offer suggestions for improvement.
• Promote and act in line with the OnePack Hospitality Group mission.

You’ll dial in espresso, craft thoughtfully prepared drinks, texture milk with care, and keep quality consistent—even when the morning rush hits. You’ll help guests discover their next favorite coffee, keep your station clean and organized, and work alongside a team that takes pride in getting the details right.

• Clean or sanitize work areas, utensils, or equipment.
• Clean service or seating areas.
• Set up or restock product displays.
• Weigh, grind, or pack coffee beans for guest.
• Stock guest service stations with paper products or beverage preparation items.
• Wrap, label, or date food items for sale.
• Take out garbage.
• Order, receive, or stock supplies or retail products.
• Slice fruits, vegetables, desserts, or meats for use in food service.
• Check freezer, refrigerator, and heating equipment temperatures to ensure proper functioning.
• Demonstrate the use of retail equipment, such as espresso machines.
• Create signs to advertise store products or events.
• Attend all scheduled employee meetings and offer suggestions for improvement.
• Coordinate with and assist fellow employees to meet guests’ needs and support restaurant operations.
• Fill in for fellow employees where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.
