Job summary

Qedhg in Nashville is seeking a friendly, efficient barista to craft coffee and tea drinks and assist guests with pastry knowledge. Ideal candidates are reliable, punctual, and able to stand for long shifts while lifting up to 50 lbs.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, provide outstanding customer service, handle cash and POS transactions, and maintain cleanliness and appearance. Latte art is a plus. Training is provided and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and able to obtain a state alcohol serving permit.
• Must have barista experience and knowledge of equipment; ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for up to 8 hours, and operate coffee equipment.
• Basic arithmetic skills and cash handling; ability to work as a team and maintain appearance and dress standards.
• PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: lifting up to 50 lbs, moving heavy objects, operating cleaning chemicals, fast-paced work.

The ideal role for the early bird, baristas will be in charge of brewing coffee- and tea-based drinks for our guests. This is generally a fast-paced position, and multitasking and attention to detail are important skills. Baristas will be expected to be knowledgeable about restaurant pastries, as well as the drinks on the coffee and tea menu. We are looking for a barista with great customer service skills, who will be friendly and engaging with guests. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications:

Required: Must be at least 18 years of age. Must have (or be in the process of obtaining) a valid alcohol serving permit (specific permit will vary by state). Previous barista experience and knowledge of equipment. Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position (lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for up to 8 hours, operating coffee equipment). Basic arithmetic skills and previous cash handling experience. Must be able to work as a team and get along with guests and coworkers. Must be able to uphold company standards relating to appearance and dress.

PHYSICAL,MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

Mobility and dexterity to move large, heavy objects up to 50lbs. Manual dexterity to include using kitchen utensils and handling fooditems. Must be able to tolerate industry standard chemicals used for cleaningand sanitizing, and be able to withstand a hot and/or close environment. Mustbe able to work at a fast pace, and to respond to visual and oral cues.

Preferred: High school diploma or GED. Skills with latte art a plus.
