NRC Health in Lincoln, Nebraska is seeking a part-time Barista to serve coffee and breakfast items with a warm, welcoming approach. You will greet guests, maintain a clean space, and ensure orders meet quality standards.

Shifts are mornings, 6:30–9:30 a.m., Monday through Friday. Previous barista or food service experience is preferred, but not required, with a pay range of $16–$19 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma required.
  • Previous barista or food service experience preferred.
  • Part-time schedule of 12–15 hours per week (6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., Mon–Fri; may vary).
  • Strong communication, attention to detail, customer service, positive attitude, punctuality and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve coffee/espresso beverages and small breakfast items for associates in the café.
  • Greet guests with warmth and maintain a clean, inviting space while upholding food safety protocols.
  • Ensure every order meets high standards.
  • Support team meetings and events with coffee service and snacks as needed.
  • May assist Manager with vendor orders and daily operations.

What You Will Do

As a Barista, you’ll prepare and serve coffee/espresso beverages and small breakfast items for associates in our café. You’ll greet guests with warmth, maintain a clean and inviting space while upholding food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures, and ensure every order meets our high standards. You’ll also support team meetings and events by providing coffee service and snacks when needed. May at times serve as back‑back-support to Manager, assisting with vendor orders and overall daily operations.

What You Need
  • High School diploma required
  • Previous experience as a barista or in food service is preferred, but not required
  • Ability to work a part-time schedule of 12-15 hours per week. Regular hours are 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., Monday through Friday; however, additional or adjusted hours may be required periodically to support business needs, special events, and coverage for team members
  • Strong communication, attention to detail, customer service skills, positive attitude, punctuality and reliability in all work tasks
  • Commitment to cleanliness, including personal hygiene and appearance
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth and efficient service
Compensation

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the hourly range for this position is $16-$19, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. If you are hired at NRC Health, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors – we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth. We also offer a generous compensation and benefits package.
