Job summary

Givens-Aldersgate, a nonprofit continuing care retirement community, is hiring a PRN Barista with weekend availability. You’ll organize dining areas, explain menus, take orders, and deliver high-quality service to residents and guests while preparing coffee, smoothies and grab-and-go items.

No prior experience required; you’ll be welcomed into a supportive team and mentored as needed. Must be at least 16 years old to apply.

• Organize and set up dining areas for service.
• Provide and explain menus to residents, including dietary questions.
• Take orders, serve food and beverages to residents.
• Provide excellent meal service to residents and their guests.
• Assist residents in the dining area as needed (carrying trays, refilling drinks).
• Prepare coffee beverages, smoothies, quickly prepared items and grab-and-go snacks.
• Perform other duties as requested by a supervisor.

The Culinary Services Team atGivens-Aldersgate, a nonprofit continuing care retirement community, is hiring 1 PRN Barista. Weekend availability is required. This is a meaningful and vital position where you positively impact the lives of our residents, visitors, and fellow team members every day.

Schedule:

What you'll do:

• Organize and set up dining areas for service
• Provides and explains menus to residents, including answering questions regarding nutritional and dietary information.
• Take orders, serve food and beverages to residents.
• Provide excellent meal service to residents and their guests
• Assists residents as needed in the dining area, i.e. carrying trays to table, refilling drinks, etc.
• Prepare coffee beverages, smoothies, quickly prepared food items, and grab and go snacks.
• Perform any other duties and/or tasks on an as-needed basis requested by an authorized supervisor

Experience is not required. Wemake this job fun and a team effort when serving our high-quality food to residents and guests. If it's your first job or you're a seasoned pro, we'll happily show you the ropes in a supportive and inclusive environment. Must be at least 16 years old to apply.

Pay: $15.00 to $17.00 per hour.
