Sodexo is seeking a Barista at Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital to deliver friendly, fast service and craft high-quality beverages. You will greet guests, prepare coffee and other drinks, and ensure a clean, welcoming coffee bar area.

This part-time role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, cash-handling experience, and the ability to stand for extended periods. Training and benefits are offered as part of Sodexo's supportive environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Customer Service related work experience.
• Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, standards, and inventory control systems.

Responsibilities

• Greets all guests and provides quick, friendly, and personalized service.
• Mixes and serves hot and cold beverages such as coffee, espresso, cappuccino, café latte, tea, chai, fruit blend drinks, etc., while considering customer specifications.
• Works to maintain good customer relations and speedy delivery of all beverages and food items.
• Educates guests regarding menu offerings and initiates suggestive selling.
• Arranges coffee bar/cart supplies and cups/mugs to make attractive displays.
• Often cleans coffee machines, restaurant areas, and preparation areas.
• Records all sales, collects money, operates a cash register, and follows all cash-handling procedures as required.

The general responsibilities of the position include those listed below, but Sodexo may identify other responsibilities of the position.
