Job summary

Bassett Healthcare Network in central New York is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner for our Division of General Surgery with Bariatrics specialization in Cooperstown, NY. The role includes OR first assistant work in large bariatric cases, outpatient clinic duties and call coverage; extensive surgical and inpatient hospital experience is essential.

Qualifications

• National Certification as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
• NYS Licensure.
• BLS Certification.
• DEA Required.

Responsibilities

• Join an established hospital-based General Surgery group of 11 Surgeons and 4 Advanced Practice Clinicians (APC). Metabolic & Bariatrics subspecialty of currently 3 Surgeons and 1 APC.
• Responsibilities will include mostly OR – first assistant in large cases that require a second clinician, some outpatient clinic and call coverage.
• Extensive surgical and inpatient hospital experience is essential.
