Black Women's Mental Health Institute seeks a Registered Nurse (Bariatric Med-Surg) to provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to bariatric and medical-surgical patients. Assess conditions, create and update individualized care plans, and monitor patients before and after surgery with accurate medication administration.

You will educate patients and families, coordinate with an interdisciplinary team, and support safe care transitions.

Formación

• Current RN licensure required.
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and perioperative monitoring skills.
• Proficiency in wound/drain care and patient education.
• Effective teamwork and communication; commitment to safety and evidence-based practice.

Responsabilidades

• Assess patient condition and implement individualized care plans, updating them as needed.
• Monitor patients pre- and post-operatively, administering medications and treatments accurately.
• Deliver wound and drain care per established standards.
• Educate patients and families on care plans, recovery, and health management.
• Coordinate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure effective, patient-centered outcomes.
• Ensure safe transitions of care and continuity across care settings.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and adhere to safety, infection control, and compliance requirements.
• Mentor and support team members in a collaborative, learning-focused environment.
