Floyd's Barbershop in Chicago’s Lincoln Park is hiring a full-time Assistant Barbershop Supervisor. The role centers on leadership, mentoring, and hands-on shop management, with peak hours during evenings and weekends.

You’ll support the Shop Leader, mentor barbers and stylists, maintain high standards, and recruit talent to sustain a top-tier client experience. This role offers a commission-based earnings model (45% to 55%), with typical annual take-home in the mid-to-upper forty-thousands.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience behind the chair as a barber or stylist in a fast-paced shop
• 1+ year of management experience
• Passion for leadership and building a culture of teamwork and service
• Active Barber or Cosmetology license in Illinois

Responsibilities

• Mentor barbers and stylists to deliver high-quality cuts, color, and shaves
• Recruit top talent and support onboarding for new hires
• Manage inventory and assist with shop operations
• Lead by example behind the chair and drive client experience excellence
• Inspire the team and ensure smooth daily shop performance
