AC BARBERS IS HIRING FULL TIME and PART TIME BARBERS!!!

AC Barbers is a commision based barber shop open 7 days a week on a high foot-traffic street. Located at Grand and Broadway, in the heart of Oakland, we are in the center of a well developed and continuously growing area just two blocks from 19th st Bart station. The Paramount and Fox Theaters, Lake Merritt, numerous restaurants, offices, and bars are all within walking distance of our shop.

ACB is an extension of the very successful Athletic Club bar/restaurant brand and will be located directly next door to the 5,000 sq foot sports bar that has already brought thousands of people through the doors in just two months of being open. The Athletic Club is more than just a bar, it is a lifestyle brand in the making, and the team is excited to offer the next suite of services with AC Barbers. The huge positive for the barbershop and it’s barbers is the endless stream of potential clients who will be passing through the sports bar each week. We plan to directly market to these customers, to help turn ACB into the most popular barbershop in town.

Our goal as a barber shop is to be community driven by bringing people together through barbering, cocktails, music, and sports. We are looking to grow within the community of Oakland and challenge the traditional barbershop framework, but also keep the feel and vibe of the golden days of barbering. ACB will be host to a shop full of diverse barbers as well as clientele. We are looking for barbers that meet these standards;

ACB barbers will be offering the highest standard of services along with availability to do pop up services on weekends in our mezzanine/lounge area. The services we will be providing include, but are not limited to; scissor cuts, clipper work, beard trims, design work, shaves, and kids cuts. ACB will also be offering brading, manicures, pedicures, waxing, and neck/back massages as a rotating weekend pop up service in our mezzanine/lounge area. We will not be requiring barbers to do these additional services. This will be for independent partners who come in to do pop up day and weekend services.

One of the many things that will set ACB apart with our service menu is the opportunity to shave with Traditional Straight Razors made specifically for our shop. ACB will be doing a hands on training course to get all barbers certified in proper honing, stropping, and shaving techniques. *Yes, it is state board ok* The goal is to have the whole staff trained and comfortable giving Traditional Straight Razor Shaves as well as educating clients.
