Job description

The Role

Barback is responsible for providing supplies and assisting the bartender with items upon request to ensure exceptional guest service, specifically in the concessions environment.

Essential Functions

• Stock bar items daily and fill ice bins as needed.
• Anticipate needs throughout the shift.
• Assist in keeping all areas clean and organized.
• Report timely to work and be prepared to start at the scheduled time.
• Know your work area and set up as directed.
• Abide by operating standards outlined in the policy and procedure manual.
• Ensure prompt, quality service is provided.
• Perform other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required from time to time.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to interact with co‑workers to assure compliance with company service standards.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented setting.
• Read, speak, and write English for communication with guests.
• Ability to lift and transport items weighing 10–30 pounds, occasionally 50 pounds.
• Work all events, including extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Mobility to perform assigned production tasks, including constant reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, and pulling for extended periods.
• At least 1 year of work experience in a fast‑paced bar, high‑end club, or restaurant.

Compensation

$23.55/hour

Working Conditions

Location: On site – Yankee Stadium, Bronx, NY.
