Job summary

Pier Sixty-Six Resort, operated by CoralTree Hospitality Group in Fort Lauderdale, seeks a Barback - Fine Dining to support high-volume service at Pier Top. You will stock bar supplies, assist bartenders, and ensure the bar is organized and guest-ready, contributing to memorable experiences in a luxury setting.

Successful candidates will have prior bar or hospitality experience, be at least of legal drinking age, and hold or obtain a TIPS certification and a Food Handlers card.

Qualifications

  • Must meet the legal age requirement to serve alcohol.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • TIPS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
  • Must have a current Food Handlers card.
  • Prior experience in a bar or hospitality setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in bar operations by restocking supplies and maintaining setup.
  • Prepare the bar area before service and assist with setup and cleanup.
  • Support bartenders during peak hours by fetching ingredients, ice, and glassware.
  • Greet guests, answer questions, and provide friendly, professional service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety per sanitation standards.

We currently have an opportunity for a well‑rounded and seasoned Barback - Fine Dining to join our Pier Sixty-Six Resort opening team! You will be an integral member of the team that creates distinctly different and authentic experiences for our guests. You will be responsible for greeting guests, taking orders, serve food and beverages, and checking on guest satisfaction. You will use the freedom to go beyond to turn guest interactions into moments of magic.

Reporting to the Outlet General Manager you will support and provide an excellent service at Pier Top. This high‑volume requires a passion for craft cocktails and live entertainment. The new hot spot in Fort Lauderdale will offer luxury products and service, in a dynamic environment. As a Bar Back at Pier Top, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation and exceptional service standards of our upscale establishment. Working closely with the bar staff and management, you will ensure that the bar area is well‑stocked, organized, and prepared to deliver an unparalleled experience to our guests.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting in inventory management by restocking bar supplies, including liquor, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and other essential items.
  • Preparing the bar area before service, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and readiness. Assist in setting up the bar station, including arranging bottles, glasses, and utensils. Help with breakdown and cleanup at the end of the shift.
  • Supporting bartenders during peak hours by fetching and carrying items, such as ingredients, ice, and glassware. Maintain a clean and tidy workspace to facilitate efficient service.
  • Interacting with guests in a friendly and professional manner, assisting with inquiries and providing exceptional service. Anticipate guest needs and promptly address any requests or concerns.
  • Adhering to all safety and sanitation standards, including proper handling of hazardous materials, equipment, and cleaning chemicals. Follow all legal regulations and policies regarding the service of alcohol.
Additional Duties & Responsibilities
  • Adhering to departmental policies and procedures.
  • Effectively communicate with peers, management, line, and front of the house employees
  • Practicing effective listening: (seek to understand)
  • Performing related duties as required.
  • Being responsible for the cleanliness of the immediate work area as well as the general property.
  • Being familiar with all Hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
  • Maintaining complete knowledge of all liquor brands, beers and non‑alcoholic selections, correct glassware, and garnishes.
Qualifications
  • Must meet the legal age requirement to serve alcohol. Previous experience passionately providing food and beverage service to others preferred, with a familiarity in restaurant terminology and food service techniques.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be TIPS certified or become certified within 30 days of hire.
  • Must have a current Food Handlers card.
  • Prior experience in a bar or hospitality setting is preferred, but not required. Willingness to learn and adapt is essential.
