Job summary

Levy Sector at the Georgia World Congress Center is seeking a Barback to support bartenders and bar operations during conventions, meetings, and events. You will ensure bars are stocked, clean, organized, and ready to provide exceptional guest service while helping maintain efficient beverage service.

The role requires reliability in a fast-paced environment, strong teamwork and communication skills, and the ability to follow detailed instructions.

Qualifications

• Previous barback, food service, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and customer-focused.

Responsibilities

• Stock and replenish liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, ice, cups, napkins, and other bar supplies.
• Assist bartenders with setup and breakdown of bar locations before and after events.
• Maintain clean and organized bar areas, including counters, sinks, coolers, and workstations.
• Remove trash and recycling throughout events and at event conclusion.
• Refill ice bins and ensure adequate inventory levels during service periods.
• Transport beverage products safely and efficiently throughout the venue.
• Assist with inventory counts and restocking activities.
• Respond promptly to requests from bartenders, supervisors, and management.
• Support a positive guest experience through teamwork and professional conduct.
• Complete side work as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Summary: The Barback at Georgia World Congress Center (GWCC) supports bartenders and bar operations by ensuring bars are fully stocked, clean, organized, and prepared to provide exceptional guest service. This position plays a critical role in maintaining efficient beverage service during conventions, meetings, and special events at the Georgia World Congress Center.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Stock and replenish liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, ice, cups, napkins, and other bar supplies. Retrieve products and supplies from storage areas as needed

• Assist bartenders with setup and breakdown of bar locations before and after events.

• Maintain clean and organized bar areas, including counters, sinks, coolers, and workstations.

• Remove trash and recycling throughout events and at event conclusion.

• Refill ice bins and ensure adequate inventory levels during service periods.

• Transport beverage products safely and efficiently throughout the venue. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations.

• Assist with inventory counts and restocking activities.

• Respond promptly to requests from bartenders, supervisors, and management.

• Support a positive guest experience through teamwork and professional conduct.

• Complete side work as assigned.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Schedule Requirements

• Must be available to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.

• Hours are based on event needs and business demands.
