Job summary

Collared Martin Hospitality is seeking a Barback to support the Front of House team in our Faraway properties. You will help restock bar inventory, assist with fresh-juice prep and batching, and keep the bar clean and organized throughout service.

You will also assist with setup and breakdown, handle trash and spills, and work closely with bartenders to ensure friendly guest interactions while upholding health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as a barback or in a restaurant setting is preferred.
• Comfort with light prep work such as juicing, batching, and portioning.

Responsibilities

• Restock and replenish bar inventory (spirits, wine, beer, glassware, garnishes).
• Assist with juicing and batching cocktails per prep sheets.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar during service.
• Assist with setup and breakdown of the bar before and after shifts.
• Remove trash, clean spills, and support bussing efforts as needed.
• Maintain a friendly rapport with guests and assist when appropriate.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Assist with receiving and storing bar deliveries.

• The Barback is an integral part of the Front of House team, and plays a crucial role in the success of the bars and bartenders.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Restock and replenish bar inventory (spirits, wine, beer, glassware, garnishes, etc.)
• Assist with daily juicing of fresh ingredients and batching cocktails according to prep sheets
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar throughout service
• Assist with setup and breakdown of the bar before and after shifts
• Remove trash, clean spills, and support bussing efforts as needed
• Maintain a friendly, helpful rapport with guests and assist when appropriate
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards

Requirements

• Previous barback or restaurant experience preferred
• Comfort with light prep work (juicing, batching, portioning, etc.)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods
• A positive, team-oriented attitude
• Reliable and punctual
• Must be of legal age to handle alcohol per local/state regulations
• Basic comprehension of the English language (written and verbal)
