Job summary

Cherokee Nation Entertainment is seeking an entry-level Barback to support our beverage operations. You will stock beverages, glassware, and supplies; assist bartenders; maintain cleanliness and organization; and help create a fun and safe guest experience.

Ideal candidates are 21+, able to lift 50 lbs, and willing to work varied shifts, including weekends. Training for alcohol awareness, food handling, and gaming licensing may be required to support our bar venues.

Qualifications

• Entry-level barback role; no prior experience required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to obtain a food handler’s card.
• Ability to pass all alcohol awareness training.
• Ability to obtain and maintain licensing by the appropriate gaming authority.
• Ability to obtain a state-issued alcoholic beverage license.
• Requires standing for long periods and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Flexible to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays, with exposure to second-hand smoke and crowd noise.

Responsibilities

• Stock all forms of beer, wine, liquor, juice, non-alcoholic mixers, and other supplies for beverage venues and storage areas. Ensure perishable supplies are dated and maintained for freshness.
• Sweep and mop all floors daily, pull trash throughout the shift, and clean trash cans. Uphold cleanliness standards for your station and shared areas.
• Ensure all soaps, sanitizers, paper towels, and other essentials are well-stocked. Clean, wash, and stock all glassware and bar supplies.
• Promote a fun, friendly, quick, comfortable, clean, and safe environment ("The Big Six").
