Job summary

OLD FRIAR INC is seeking a Barback to join our team. You will help open and close the bar, restock supplies, prepare garnishes, and support bartenders to keep service running smoothly.

You should be friendly, hard-working, and willing to work nights and weekends in a fast-paced hospitality setting. A high school diploma is required; mixology or hospitality certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required or equivalent.
• Mixology or hospitality certification preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of alcoholic beverages and bar menu items preferred.
• Previous hospitality experience preferred but not required.
• Legal age to serve alcoholic beverages.
• Team player who works well in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects.
• Able to work nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Keep tables, counters, bars, and other surfaces clean and wiped down.
• Restock supplies as needed.
• Bus tables.
• Prepare cocktail garnishes and other ingredients necessary for making drinks.
• Replace beer kegs and empty liquor bottles.
• Take out the trash.
• Assist bartenders as requested.
