Pouring With Heart is looking for a Barback in Los Angeles to back up the bartenders by keeping the bar stocked, organized, and clean during shifts. The role demands energy, teamwork, and a commitment to hospitality in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous barback or hospitality experience preferred but not required.

• Must be 21+ with valid certifications for responsible beverage service (RBS) as per state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support bartenders by keeping the bar stocked, organized, and spotless during each shift.
• Anticipate and fulfill restocking needs for spirits, beer, juice, syrups, garnishes, and glassware.
• Maintain ice bins and bar tools to ensure smooth service flow.
• Assist with prep tasks such as juicing, cutting garnishes, and batching syrups.
• Help with breakdown, cleaning, and resetting the bar after service.
• Learn cocktail ingredients, spirits, and service techniques to build a foundation for growth.
• Follow all health, safety, and compliance standards, including responsible alcohol service.
• Work as a team player, supporting floor staff, bartenders, and bar leadership where needed.

Pouring with Heart is currently looking for a new Barback at BAR CDMX, Los Angeles. We are excited to find a new family member. Below is a description of the role, give it a read-through, and if you think “Hell yeah!”, we’d love to start a conversation.

The Role…

As a Barback, you are the backbone of the bar, ensuring bartenders can deliver exceptional service by keeping everything stocked, organized, and ready. This role is fast-paced and physically demanding, but it is also the foundation for building knowledge and skills to grow within the company.

Must be available weekends.

The Pay

25 to 35 an hour with tips

Main Duties

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to work on your feet for extended periods (up to 8 hours)
• Ability to lift and move 50+ pounds
• Fast-paced movements and mobility required to cover bar and floor space efficiently
• Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions as part of daily bar operations
