Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Fill ice for all the wells. Prepare fruit trays. Garnishes are important for the drinks.
- Make sure there are backup garnishes.
- Restock the bar with beer, liquor, wine, glassware, juices, etc. Have backup for the shift and always rotate the products.
- Check the draught beers, make sure they are working and not empty.
- Get trash cans and towels, remove trash as needed.
- Make sure the bar is clean before opening.
- All beverage dispensing units are fully and properly maintained.
- Help bartender inventory bar and all supplies.
- Maintain all recyclables, put them in the proper place.
- Empty ash trays as needed.
- Assure all coolers are on and in working order.
- Promotes positive customer relations, greets customers, and creates a friendly atmosphere.
- Promotes and documents orders for drinks, reciting selection of all call and premium brands as requested by memory; takes orders from customers in a prompt and friendly manner.
- Mixes, garnishes and presents drinks using standard ingredient recipes.
- Prepares and serves cocktails and other beverages accurately and without waste according to the customer’s specifications.
- Inputs orders at the point of sale; creates checks for each customer/party/server; maintains accountability of all beverages served.
- Presents an accurate check to guest in a timely fashion; thanks patrons and invites them to return.
- Cleans up after customers at the bar and maintains an orderly and clean work area at all times.
- Maintains proper and adequate bar set up; washes glassware and utensils after each use.
- Serves food to customers seated at the bar as requested.
- Checks identification of customers to make sure they meet age requirements for the purchase of alcohol and tobacco products; determines when a customer has had too much alcohol.
- Orders and maintains liquor and bar supplies; places orders with outside vendors for bar supplies as directed.
- Responds to customer questions and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Safeguards casino monies by balancing house bank at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Arrange bottles and glasses to make attractive displays.
- Attends and participates in regularly scheduled staff meetings.
- Follows guidelines regarding alcohol service, safety and customer service according to established regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Contributes to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required.
- Performs other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED. Must meet all knowledge, skills and abilities. Must be twenty‑one years (21) of age. No felony, theft or stealing convictions. Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, background investigation, obtain and maintain a gaming license. Navajo preference.

- Ability to learn all local and state alcohol beverage laws.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand for prolonged periods, walk and sit; use hands for dexterity of motion; stoop, bend, kneel or crouch, and have normal auditory, visual acuity, and verbal communication skills. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment
Work is generally performed in a casino bar setting with exposure to a loud noise level. Extended hours and irregular shifts are required. Tight time constraints and multiple demands are common.
