Job summary

Fairmont Grand Del Mar in San Diego is seeking a Banquets Bartender to craft cocktails and deliver exceptional beverage service during luxury events. You will contribute to a five-star dining experience with a focus on guest satisfaction and impeccable presentation.

The role requires maintaining mise en place, assisting fellow servers, guiding guests to seating, and delivering elegant beverage experiences for both main dining and private functions.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in bar or high-volume bar.
• Exemplary knowledge of spirits and wine; ability to pair with food.
• Food Handlers Card and RBS Certification required.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Display a congenial appearance and be well groomed at all times.
• Ensure mise en place is set up and ready for service according to SOP.
• Assist service colleagues with pre-shift mise en place and bar setup, stock, and garnishes.
• Assist guests in receiving a flawless dining experience with elegant beverage service.
• Prepare cocktails for the main dining room and private functions.
• Check IDs to confirm legal drinking age and comply with beverage regulations.
