Job summary

Coury Hospitality is seeking a Banquet Set-Up Attendant for the Hard Rock Hotel San Diego. You will prepare event spaces, arrange tables, chairs, linens, and AV per diagrams, ensuring every detail is ready for flawless ceremonies and receptions.

This role requires physical stamina (lift up to 50 lbs), a fast-paced, team-oriented attitude, and precise communication with Banquet Captains. On-site shifts include early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays as events demand.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in event or banquet setup, luxury hotel or venue preferred.
• Must be detail-oriented and organized.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Clear communication and teamwork are essential.
• Flexible scheduling including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Set up and break down banquet rooms with tables, chairs, linens, and AV as needed.
• Follow event diagrams, BEOs, and timelines precisely.
• Maintain clean, organized, hazard-free spaces at all times.
• Communicate with Banquet Captains and teammates to ensure readiness.
• Assist with room refreshes, transitions, and quick turnarounds between events.
• Handle equipment and furnishings with care and safety.

Your Mission

As a Banquet Set-Up Attendant, you’ll be responsible for preparing event spaces according to detailed specifications, ensuring every table, chair, and setting is perfectly in place for the show to begin. Your work sets the tone for flawless events — and your efficiency keeps the rhythm going behind the scenes.

What You'll Do

• Set up and break down banquet rooms, including tables, chairs, linens, staging, and A/V as needed
• Follow event diagrams, Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), and timelines precisely
• Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free function spaces at all times
• Communicate with Banquet Captains and fellow team members to ensure readiness
• Assist with room refreshes, transitions, and quick turnarounds between events
• Handle equipment and furnishings with care and attention to safety
