Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Banquet Supervisor to oversee banquet and catered event operations, leading Banquet Captains and Servers to ensure events meet BEOs, service standards, and client expectations. The role is onsite at COLORADO CONVENTION CENTER, with variable shifts and part-time hours.

The position requires 2–4 years of banquet or food and beverage experience and prior supervisory roles. A high school diploma is needed, with POS system knowledge and alcohol service training expected.

• Must meet minimum age requirements to serve alcohol per local/state laws.

• TIPS or TEAM alcohol training (or equivalent).
• Food handler certification may be required based on location.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate strong organizational and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced setting.
• Able to lift up to 35 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Attend scheduled shifts on time with regularity.

Banquet Supervisor

Location: COLORADO CONVENTION CENTER – 93110001

Workdays/shifts : Varying shifts, days/hours (open availability preferred). More details will be provided during the interview process.

Employment Type: Part-time

Pay Range: $27.00 per hour – $31.00 per hour

What You’ll Do:

As a Banquet Supervisor at Sodexo, you will provide overall supervision and coordination of banquet and catered event operations, serving as the primary on-site leadership role above the Banquet Captain level. This position oversees Banquet Captains and Banquet Servers to ensure events are executed according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), service standards, and client expectations. The Banquet Supervisor is responsible for operational readiness, staffing oversight, service execution, and issue resolution during events.

This role typically works within an event venue environment and may also support off-site catered functions. The Banquet Supervisor oversees events ranging from small meetings to large-scale functions involving hundreds of guests and varying service styles, including receptions, buffets, plated meals, and multi-course service. The Banquet Supervisor actively supports preparation, setup, service, breakdown, and cleanup while maintaining accountability for safety, sanitation, staffing, and guest satisfaction. Responsibilities may vary by account based on business needs and client requirements, and additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

Responsibilities include:

• Monitor event setup, service execution, and breakdown to ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency.

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to frequently lift and move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.

• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity

• Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.

What You Bring:

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.

• Minimum of 2–4 years of banquet, catering, or food and beverage service experience.

• Prior supervisory or leadership experience in banquet or event operations required.

• Must meet minimum age requirements to serve alcohol based on local and state regulations.

• Working knowledge of Point ofSale (POS) systems and event service processes.

• TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) or TEAM (Techniques for Effective Alcohol Management) alcohol training or equivalent.

• Food handler certification may be required based on location.
