Job summary

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants in Winston-Salem is seeking a Banquet/Events team member to support the success of meetings and events by assisting the banquet department and helping set up and take down banquet and meeting spaces.

You’ll work closely with Banquet Servers to ensure guest satisfaction, with responsibilities including setting up, cleaning, and maintaining rooms, careful handling of equipment, and delivering outstanding, personable service.

Qualifications

• Hospitality experience preferred.
• Ability to read floor plans and organize spaces.
• Comfort with a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Set-up, clean and maintain meeting and banquet rooms following hotel standards.
• Responsible for accurate cleaning and setting of banquet functions and meeting rooms.
• Care and storage of all equipment such as tables and chairs.

What You’ll Do

Play a meaningful role in the overall success of events by providing assistance to the banquet department as well as aiding in set up and take down of all banquet and meeting events. Work closely with the Banquet Servers to ensure guest satisfaction.

What You Bring

• Prior hospitality experience and/or experience in housekeeping/janitorial work preferred.
• The ideal candidate will be organized and ambitious (go-getter!)
• Strong work ethic, ability to read floor-plans, work independently and has a strong attention to detail.
• Flexible schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
