Job summary

Angel of the Winds Casino Resort in Arlington, WA is seeking a banquet server to assist in setting up event spaces, greet guests, and maintain buffet stations throughout service.

Responsibilities include serving food and drinks, resetting tables, and supporting the team during nights, weekends and holidays. Applicants must be 18+, with prior restaurant server experience preferred, and able to lift trays and work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Exceptional guest service skills required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Six months to a year related work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Prior experience as a restaurant server preferred.
• Must be able to lift and carry a server’s tray and dinner plates on a continuous basis.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setting up the banquet room and back-of-house service area under the direction of the Banquet Manager or Shift Supervisor according to event specifications, including arranging tableware and gathering necessary service items.
• Greet guests warmly on arrival and interact with guests in a friendly, professional, and attentive manner.
• Maintain buffet throughout meal service, including replenishing food items and ensuring cleanliness and organization.
• Serve food and beverages to guests, during plated events, in a timely, courteous and efficient manner.
• Serve and refill alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to banquet guests.
• Respond promptly to guest requests, relaying inquiries to the Banquet Manager or Shift Supervisor.
• Clear plates, glassware, and utensils during and after meal service; reset tables as necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of back of house service area during and after an event.
• Assist in resetting banquet rooms and back of house service area after the banquet.
• May provide service of alcohol within the guidelines set forth by the MAST training program.
• Ensure all workstations are stocked, neat, clean and sanitary.
• Complete all side work in a timely and satisfactory manner.
• Support team members and contribute to a positive work environment.
• Works’ days, nights, weekends, special events and holidays as needed.
• Duties, responsibilities, requirements and expectations pertaining to this job are subject to change as needed.
• Work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Certificates, Licenses, Regulations

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Class B gaming license from the Stillaguamish Tribal Gaming Agency.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Washington State Health Card (Food Worker Card).
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Washington State Mandatory Alcohol Server Training (MAST) Class 13 Servers Permit.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Constantly requires the ability to receive detailed information through oral and written communication. The position requires exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Requires repetitive movement daily with sedentary work, occasional bending and crouching. This is a 24 hour, 7 days a week work operation.
