Job summary

The Wilkinson Firm is seeking a part-time banquet server to support hotels, conference centers and catered events in Charlotte and surrounding counties. You will help with setup, service, clearing and breakdown under supervision, with a clear path to captain, event lead and manager.

Paid training is provided before your first shift, plus a leadership program called Captain School and resume rewrites. Schedules are posted ahead to outline the next 30 days of hours.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of banquet, restaurant or catering service experience, or hospitality training.
• Entry-level candidates with the right attitude are welcome.
• Black professional pants or slacks, black closed-toe non-slip shoes, professional grooming and appearance.
• Eligible to work in the United States (I-9 and E-Verify).

Job description

Pay: $15.00 to $18.00 per hour based on experience. Type: W-2 part-time. Location: Charlotte, NC and Mecklenburg, Cabarrus, Union, Gaston and York counties.

The role

You serve plated and buffet functions at hotels, conference centers and catered events: setup, service, clearing and breakdown, working under a Banquet Captain and a designated Event Lead on every shift.

Charlotte is our next full market: uptown hotels, the convention district, University City, and the clubs and venues around the region.

What you do

• Maintain tableware, water and clearing through service
• Break down and reset the room

What we need

• 6 or more months of banquet, restaurant or catering service experience, or hospitality training; entry-level candidates with the right attitude are welcome
• Black professional pants or slacks, black closed-toe non-slip shoes, professional grooming and appearance
• Reliable transportation and a working smartphone
• Eligible to work in the United States (I-9 and E-Verify)
