Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a part-time Banquet Server for catered events at MOTE AQUARIUM. You will provide attentive food and beverage service for meetings, receptions, luncheons, dinners and special functions, with service styles from casual buffets to formal plated meals.

Under the Banquet Captain and Supervisor you’ll assist with event setup, execution and breakdown, keep tables and stations clean, and ensure timely, friendly guest interactions.

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred or equivalent experience.
• Previous banquet/catering/hospitality experience preferred.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to serve alcohol.
• Valid alcohol-service certification (TIPS/TEAM or equivalent) and comply with state regulations.
• Food handler certification may be required by locale.

Responsibilities

• Provide food and beverage services to guests at catered events (meetings, receptions, luncheons, dinners, and special functions).
• Support service styles from casual buffets to formal plated meals and passed service.
• Assist with event setup, service execution, and breakdown under supervision.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, service stations, and work areas.
• Frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Attend scheduled shifts on time and with regularity.

Banquet Servers play a key role in delivering a positive guest experience by providing attentive, professional, and timely service during events.Banquet Servers work under the direction of the Banquet Captain and Banquet Supervisor and actively participate in event setup, service execution, and breakdown.
