Job summary

The River Club in Jacksonville invites warm, guest-focused servers to join our premier venue. You will greet members and guests with a smile, guide them through their dining experience, and coordinate with the Banquet Captain to ensure smooth service.

You're expected to manage side work, keep the dining area pristine, participate in pre-shift meetings, and assist with inventory and cleanup tasks as needed. Scheduling varies, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Greet members and their guests IMMEDIATELY and with a SMILE.
• Maintain courteous, professional service at all times.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and organized dining area.

Responsibilities

• Make sure all side work is complete before opening.
• Set up tables with clean glassware, silverware, and linens; ensure chairs and bases are clean.
• Attend pre-shift meetings for daily specials and important information.
• Guide members and guests through their dining experience with clear communication.
• Check out with Banquet Captain or Operations Manager before leaving.
• Take monthly inventory of china, glass, and silver when assigned.
• Perform in-house cleaning assignments to maintain top operating levels.

Job Requirements

• Make sure all side work is complete, before opening.
• Set up tables: glass and silver are clean and lined up properly; salt and pepper shakers are clean and filled; chairs, including legs and table bases are clean; flowers look good; ashtrays are on table and clean; sugar holders are full and clean; and table cloth is crisp and hanging properly.
• Attend pre-shift meeting to learn daily specials, and miscellaneous information.
• Greet members and their guests IMMEDIATELY and with a SMILE.
• Guide members and their guests through the course of their dining experience, communicating frequently with them.
• Communicate with the Banquet Captain or the Banquet Operations Manager as to when to close.
• Clean station and side work as required.
• Check out with the Banquet Captain or the Banquet Operations Manager before leaving.
• Perform other jobs that will assist in quality member service as assigned by the Banquet Captain or the Banquet Operations Manager.
• Take monthly inventory of china, glass and silver when assigned.
• Perform in-house cleaning assignments to maintain work areas in top operating levels
