Job summary

Hilton Fairfax is seeking a friendly Banquet Server to join our team in Fairfax, VA. You will be responsible for setting up and breaking down event spaces per BEO and serving food and beverages in a courteous, professional manner. Some shifts may require work in the hotel restaurant.

The hourly rate is $15/hour plus banquet gratuities, with full-time benefits including health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards and etiquette.
• Communication skills in English to understand inquiries and give simple instructions.
• Ability to move throughout event spaces to serve and replenish food.
• Ability to stand for long periods during shifts.

Responsibilities

• Set up and breakdown of event spaces according to Banquet Event Orders (BEO).
• Serve food and/or beverages in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner.

The hotel offers 316 well-appointed guest rooms with 9 bespoke meeting rooms and over 10,000 square feet of event spaces, the Hilton Fairfax is the perfect venue for any occasion. Located in the hotel lobby, Nova Grill serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner offering traditional comfort dishes blending Virginia and Mid-Atlantic influences.

The Hilton Fairfax is looking for a friendly and reliable Banquet Server to join the team. Banquet Servers are responsible the set up and breakdown of the event space according to Banquet Event Order (BEO) and serving food and/or beverages in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner. May be scheduled to work in the restaurant as needed.

Hourly rate for Banquet Servers is $15/hour plus banquet gratuities.

Qualifications

• Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
• Knowledge of the appropriate table settings and service ware.
• Basic knowledge of the English language sufficient to understand inquiries from customers and communicate simple instructions.
• Must be able to move throughout the event spaces to serve and/or replenish food
• Must be able to stand for long periods at a time
