Job summary

Congressional Country Club is seeking Banquet Servers to join our events team in Bethesda, MD. Full-time and part-time opportunities with flexible weekday/weekend availability are offered.

Members of the team will help execute diverse events, serve beverages, and maintain the dining experience from setup through breakdown. Ideal candidates have prior serving experience, strong teamwork, and a guest-focused attitude.

Qualifications

• Previous serving experience preferred.
• Availability on weekdays and weekends for full-time roles.
• PM or AM availability on weekends and holidays for part-time roles.

Responsibilities

• Work as a team to execute a variety of event operations including buffet, plated, and a la carte dining.
• Use a cocktail tray to serve all beverages and clear empty glasses.
• Resolve member/guest complaints promptly as they occur.
• Assist in closing functions by removing linen, bussing glasses and resetting the room.
• Assist in setup and breakdown of events, both indoor and outdoor.

What will be expected of you

• Work as a team to execute a variety of different event operations including but not limited to buffet, plated, and a la carte dining
• Use a cocktail tray to serve all beverages and clear empty glasses
• Empowered to resolve member/guest complaints as soon as they occur
• Assist in closing functions by performing various tasks such as removing linen, busing glasses, dishes, silverware, etc., and re-setting the room
• Assist in the setup and breakdown of events, including indoor and outdoor

How we determine your qualifications

• Previous serving experience preferred

There are Part‑Time / Full‑Time opportunities:
Full‑time: Required availability is am/pm on weekdays and weekends.
Part‑time: PM or AM availability on weekends and holidays / Availability on Fridays and weekends at the minimum plus holidays.
