Loews Ventana Canyon Resort in Tucson seeks a Senior Banquet Captain to oversee all banquet events from setup to breakdown, ensuring Loews standards. Lead, train and motivate banquet teams, coordinate with culinary and event leadership, and manage event financials with accuracy.

The role requires hands-on supervision on the floor, strong communication, payroll and Delphi billing tasks, and the ability to handle guest concerns with poise. Veterans and military spouses are encouraged to apply.

• Experienced Banquet Leader with knowledge of floor plans, food timing, and staffing strategies.
• Strong Communicator who keeps servers, captains, culinary partners, and leadership informed.
• Hands-On Supervisor who coaches on the floor and ensures top-tier service.
• Operationally sharp with payroll, event counts, Delphi billing, and equipment needs.
• Team Developer who hires, trains, and coaches to uphold service excellence.
• Problem Solver who handles live-event challenges quickly and professionally.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all banquet events from setup through service to breakdown.
• Conduct pre-shift meetings to assign duties and review event details.
• Ensure staffing levels align with forecasts and brand standards.
• Collaborate with F&B Director to uphold policies and procedures.
• Monitor service for consistency, efficiency, and excellence.
• Coordinate with Culinary for food timing and service cues.
