Pay: $84,100.00 yearly US Dollar (USD) pay basis; actual pay commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities
- Supports and manages the Banuevents Department, working closely with the Food and Beverage Director and other hotel departments.
- Supervise, empower, lead, coach and motivate the banquet team—including captains, food servers, and lead house attendants—to achieve exceptional guest service and associate engagement.
- Assist the hotel in reaching high service scores on Meeting Planner surveys; review Banquet Event Orders and ensure proper communication with guests and departments.
- Proactively review staffing and equipment needs for all events.
- Coordinate the execution of all events with Culinary, Stewarding, Catering/CS, CS Floor, and Beverage teams.
- Maintain a high‑energy, positive, professional appearance.
- Manage short‑ and long‑term banquet functions in both front‑ and back‑house areas.
- Create an environment of highest service standards through effective hiring, training, development, promotion, and continuous reinforcement.
- Handle administrative tasks such as payroll, reports, forecasts, point‑of‑sale procedures, inventory, and budgeting for food and beverage functions.
- Perform daily walkthroughs of banquet department and all function space and storerooms to ensure compliance with Department of Health regulations and Hyatt corporate standards.
- Develop ideas for special events and holiday functions.

Qualifications
- Full‑time management position requiring full flexibility, including weekends, holidays, and a varied schedule.
- Desire to understand and anticipate the needs of others in a fast‑paced environment.
- Refined verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in general computer knowledge.
- Extremely creative, innovative, detail‑oriented, and organized.
- Hotel experience with a thorough understanding of all levels of banquet service.
- Previous experience as an Event Services Manager/Assistant, Banquet Captain, or Event Services Supervisor preferred.
- Strong strengths in high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leadership, effective communication, developer/trainer abilities, and exceptional customer service.
