Job summary

Oregon Garden Resort in Silverton, Oregon seeks a banquet team member to support conferences, weddings and special events. You will coordinate service, assist with setup and breakdown, and deliver plated meals, buffets and beverages with high standards.

Ideal candidates have banquet or catering experience, strong communication, and a team-first attitude. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate banquet service during conferences, retreats, weddings and events.
• Assist with event setup and breakdown, including tables, chairs, linens and room flips.
• Serve plated meals, buffets and beverage service maintaining high standards.
• Guide banquet servers and support event staff throughout each event.
• Work with Banquet Manager, kitchen and bar teams to keep events on schedule.
• Resolve guest requests and service issues professionally.
• Maintain clean, guest-ready banquet spaces during events.

We're looking for someone with banquet or catering experience who enjoys working as part of a team, takes pride in delivering outstanding service, and thrives in a fast-paced event environment.

What You'll Do

• Help coordinate banquet service during conferences, retreats, weddings, and special events.
• Assist with event setup and breakdown, including tables, chairs, linens, service stations, and room flips.
• Serve plated meals, buffets, receptions, and beverage service while maintaining high service standards.
• Provide guidance and support to banquet servers throughout each event..
• Work closely with the Banquet Manager, kitchen, and bar teams to help keep events running smoothly and on schedule.
• Help resolve guest requests and service issues with professionalism.
• Maintain clean, organized, and guest-ready banquet spaces throughout each event.

What We're Looking For

• Previous banquet, catering, or event service experience required.
• Lead experience is a plus, but not required.
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude.
• Someone who leads by example and enjoys helping others succeed.
• Ability to stay organized and perform well in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and remain on your feet for extended periods.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on our event schedule.
• Oregon Food Handler Card required.
• OLCC Service Permit required or ability to obtain before starting.
