Job summary

The Inn at Mattei’s Tavern, Auberge Collection, is seeking a Banquet Houseperson to support seamless events in Los Olivos, CA. You will prepare and equip spaces, ensure amenities meet resort standards, and refresh rooms during breaks, acting as the silent architect behind memorable gatherings.

You will join a meticulous team, perform heavy lifting, and adapt to flexible schedules, including weekends. This role emphasizes guest satisfaction, collaboration, and precise adherence to BEOs and setup

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Adhere to timelines for set-ups.
• Flexible schedule including weekends/holidays.
• Prior customer service training is a plus.
• Team-oriented environment experience.
• Ability to move/maneuver in a banquet environment.
• Lift 50 lbs, 75 lbs occasionally, and heavier as needed.
• Basic English communication with team and guests.

Responsibilities

• Cleans Function Rooms Prior to Set-up.
• Sets equipment to Daily Work Sheet specifications.
• Provides required amenities, as dictated by Resort Standards.
• Refreshes meeting rooms during meal and coffee breaks.
• Breaks down meeting rooms as soon as possible after the end of the function.
• Completes Special Projects as directed by department management/supervisor.
• Moves conference material boxes, programs, etc. from resort receiving docks, registration areas, guest rooms, or suites.
• Caring for the equipment.
• Accommodates special customer needs, hanging banners for meetings and food/beverage functions.
• Follow Banquet Event Orders (BEO)
• Install and remove air walls (if applicable)
• Breaking down service areas
• Other reasonable requests of management
