We’re currently seeking a Banquet Captain to join our team at Hilton Garden Inn, Allen.

Position Summary

The Banquet Captain is responsible for leading banquet service operations to ensure events are executed flawlessly and guests receive exceptional hospitality. This role oversees banquet staff during events, coordinates with culinary and hotel leadership, and ensures all set‑up, service, and breakdown activities meet Hilton brand standards and Flynn Hospitality expectations.

The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, delivers outstanding guest service, and takes pride in creating memorable event experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Event Execution

• Oversee all banquet functions from set‑up through service and breakdown
• Review banquet event orders (BEOs) and communicate details clearly to the team
• Ensure room set‑ups meet specifications, timelines, and brand standards
• Coordinate with the kitchen to ensure accurate and timely food service
• Monitor event flow and make real‑time adjustments to ensure guest satisfaction

Team Leadership

• Lead, train, and supervise banquet servers and event staff
• Assign responsibilities and ensure team members understand expectations
• Provide coaching and support to maintain high service standards
• Foster a positive, team‑oriented work environment aligned with Flynn values

Guest Experience

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients during events
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests or concerns
• Ensure all guests receive friendly, attentive, and personalized service
• Anticipate needs and proactively resolve issues

Operational Excellence

• Ensure proper handling, storage, and care of banquet equipment and supplies
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet spaces and service areas
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and safety procedures
• Support cost control efforts by minimizing waste and managing resources effectively

What We’re Looking For

• 1–3 years of banquet or food & beverage experience, preferably in a hotel environment
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to lead a team in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
