Job summary

Montage International in Baltimore is seeking a Banquet Bartender to join the Pendry team. You will interact with guests, craft cocktails, upsell, and ensure quality service in a luxury hotel environment.

Prior bartending experience and familiarity with Micros or other POS systems are preferred. A flexible schedule including weekends/holidays is required, and benefits such as meals, uniforms, and healthcare are provided.

• Experience as a bartender in luxury settings preferred.
• Knowledge of cocktails, wine and service standards.
• Ability to upsell and deliver guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Interact one on one with guests, take orders, make cocktails, upsell, ensure guest satisfaction and anticipate guest needs.
• Exhibit knowledge and service delivery of beverages and menu items.
• Maintain bar cleanliness and stocking.
• Work with management and service staff as a team.

Your Journey

• Interact one on one with guests, take orders, make cocktails, upsell, ensure guest satisfaction and anticipate guest needs.
• Exhibit proper knowledge, selling techniques and service delivery of both non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages, and any menu items offered.
• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the bar, stocking with appropriate products and supplies.
• Work as a team and effectively communicating with management, bartenders, and service staff.
• Deliver on guests’ expectations and have the desire to create WOW moments.
• Perform additional duties as assigned that may be outside of the normal scope of duties based on business needs.

• You have basic communication skills.
• You are open to learning, developing, and growing yourself, personally, and helping others do the same.

Must Haves

• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to collaborate in a team environment.
• Prior bartending and micros or other systems experience.
• Luxury hotel experience, a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and exercise mobility for extended periods of time during your scheduled shift.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and for extended periods during the shift.
• Ability to push and pull food serving equipment and carts weighing up to 200 pounds on a semi - regular basis.

Pay

The pay scale for the Banquet Bartender position is $8 per hour. This pay scale reflects the base hourly wage and does not include incentive pay such as commissions, piece rates, gratuities, or similar forms of compensation that Montage may reasonably expect to pay for the position.
