Davidson Hospitality Group is seeking a Banquet Bartender for Newport Harbor Island Resort in Newport, RI. You will craft a variety of beverages for banquets and events, maintain a clean bar, and engage guests with recommendations. The role emphasizes responsible service and teamwork with banquet staff.

The position requires at least one year of bartending experience, knowledge of drink recipes, and fluent English. Permits as applicable, and age compliance are required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of bartending experience preferred
• Food/Beverage Service Worker Permit where applicable
• Knowledge of drink recipes and wine merchandising
• Working knowledge of drink service and bar terminology
• Meet minimum age requirement of jurisdiction
• Read, write and speak English fluently
• Ability to communicate effectively with the public and team members

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a wide range of beverages at banquets and events
• Keep bar area clean and organized and stock supplies
• Interact with guests, take orders and make recommendations
• Mix and garnish cocktails per recipes
• Adhere to responsible alcohol service guidelines
• Collaborate with banquet team for timely beverage service
• Handle cash transactions and maintain sales/inventory records
• Assist with bar setup and breakdown
