Job summary

Davidson Hospitality Group at Newport Harbor Island Resort in Newport, RI is seeking a Banquet Barback to support the banquet bar team during events and ensure seamless service.

You will help with setup and breakdown, stocking, glassware, and beverages; maintain clean bar areas; collaborate with bartenders; handle guest requests; assist with inventory; and contribute to a lively, guest-focused atmosphere for evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a barback or similar role preferred.
• Strong physical stamina for lifting and carrying heavy objects.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Positive, customer-focused attitude.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing demands.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-energy support to the banquet bar team, ensuring smooth operations during events and functions.
