AmLaw 100 Firm in Seattle seeks an Associate Attorney for its Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights Litigation Practice Group. Represents lenders, creditors, landlords, and debtors in complex restructuring and insolvency matters.

Requires 4–8 years of relevant experience, DC/DC? WA bar in good standing, and strong drafting and litigation skills. Excellent opportunity with broad exposure and responsibility.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
• Active Washington Bar admission in good standing; Oregon/California a plus.
• 4–8 years of experience in bankruptcy, restructuring, creditors' rights litigation, or insolvency.
• Experience with loan workouts, enforcement actions, receiverships, foreclosures.
• Bankruptcy & Restructuring expertise: Chapter 11/15/9 experience for debtor and creditor reps.
• Litigation skills: drafting, discovery, motions, and court appearances.
• Transaction background: distressed asset acquisitions and out-of-court restructurings.
• Strong writing, research, and interpersonal skills; detail-oriented.
• Ability to manage multiple matters with excellent client service.

Responsabilités

• Represent lenders, creditors, landlords, debtors and stakeholders in bankruptcy, restructuring and insolvency matters.
• Handle loan workouts, restructuring transactions, and distressed asset matters.
• Manage creditors' rights litigation including loan enforcement actions, receiverships, foreclosures.
• Draft and negotiate workout agreements, restructuring documents, pleadings, motions and filings.
• Advise clients on insolvency, restructuring, bankruptcy and risk management strategies.
• Represent clients in corporate restructurings and bankruptcy litigation including Chapter 15, 11, and 9.
• Provide strategic guidance to creditors and debtors in complex insolvency cases.
• Assist with acquisitions of distressed assets and corporate workouts, in or out of court.
• Draft pleadings, prepare discovery, and manage motion practice in high-stakes litigation.
• Collaborate with partners and clients in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

A prestigious AmLaw 100 firm is seeking a skilled and driven Associate Attorney to join its highly-regarded Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights Litigation Practice Group. This is an exceptional opportunity to work with a highly respected team representing lenders, creditors, landlords, and debtors in complex restructuring, insolvency, and bankruptcy matters. The practice encompasses both litigation and transactional restructuring work, providing attorneys with exposure to a broad range of distressed situations, enforcement actions, workouts, and bankruptcy proceedings.

Candidate Profile

• JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in Washington, in good standing (or eligibility to waive into Washington); admission in Oregon and/or California is a plus
• 4-8 years of substantive experience representing parties in bankruptcy proceedings, restructuring, creditors' rights litigation, or insolvency-related matters
• Experience handling loan workouts, loan enforcement actions, receiverships, foreclosures, and related insolvency litigation
• Bankruptcy & Restructuring Expertise: Demonstrated experience with complex corporate restructurings, including both debtor and creditor representations in Chapter 11, Chapter 15 and Chapter 9 municipal insolvency cases.
• Litigation Experience: Excel in drafting, discovery, motion practice, and court appearances for bankruptcy-related disputes.
• Additional Transactional Background: Familiarity with distressed asset acquisitions and out-of-court restructurings is a plus.
• Soft Skills: Excellent writing, research, and interpersonal skills; attention to detail; and sound judgment are essential.
• Ability to manage multiple complex matters while providing outstanding client service

Key Responsibilities

• Represent lenders, creditors, landlords, debtors, and other stakeholders in bankruptcy, restructuring, and insolvency-related matters
• Handle loan workout negotiations, restructuring transactions, and distressed asset matters
• Manage creditors' rights litigation, including loan enforcement actions, receiverships, and foreclosure proceedings
• Draft and negotiate workout agreements, restructuring documents, pleadings, motions, and related legal filings
• Advise clients on insolvency, restructuring, bankruptcy, and risk management strategies

• Represent clients in corporate restructurings and bankruptcy litigation matters, including Chapter 15, Chapter 11 and Chapter 9 proceedings.

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive Compensation: Includes an annual salary range of $250,000 – $330,000, commensurate with experience and market conditions.
