Qualifications

• Admitted to practice in New York (in good standing).
• 2+ years of bankruptcy experience (consumer Ch.7/13 preferred; Ch.11/Sub V a plus).
• Comfortable in court and managing your own docket.
• Strong drafting and client-communication skills.
• Spanish, Hindi, Urdu, or Russian a plus given our client base.
• Self-directed but collaborative.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of consumer and small-business bankruptcy matters from intake through discharge.
• Draft petitions, handle Section 341 meetings, respond to motions and objections, and appear in court.
• Work on contested matters, adversary proceedings, and foreclosure defense filings as needed.
• Explain options to clients in plain language, balancing technical requirements with client needs.
