Job summary

ExpertHiring seeks an experienced bankruptcy and restructuring attorney to join our Philadelphia office. You will represent creditors, debtors, and stakeholders in Chapter 7, 11, and 13 matters, drafting pleadings and transactional documents, and conducting thorough legal research.

Strong writing skills and client communication are essential. The role requires a JD from an accredited law school, PA admission or eligibility, and prior bankruptcy experience.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Admission to practice law in Pennsylvania or eligibility for prompt admission.
• Prior bankruptcy/restructuring or commercial litigation experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of bankruptcy law and restructuring principles.
• Experience drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and bankruptcy-related transactional documents.
• Strong legal research and analytical skills.
• Ability to analyze financial information and case strategy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Handle a variety of bankruptcy and restructuring matters involving creditors, debtors, and other stakeholders.
• Represent clients in Chapter 7, Chapter 11, and Chapter 13 bankruptcy proceedings.
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Prepare and review transactional documents related to bankruptcy and restructuring.
• Conduct detailed legal research and analyze complex legal and financial issues.
• Assist partners with case strategy, negotiations, and resolution of bankruptcy matters.
• Make regular appearances in bankruptcy court and participate in hearings.
• Communicate directly with clients regarding case status, strategy, and legal issues.
• Manage case deadlines, filings, and multiple matters simultaneously.
• Collaborate with partners and attorneys across different practice groups.
• Participate in business development initiatives as needed.
