Job summary

IPolarity in Columbus, OH seeks Technical Product Owner / Business Analyst to modernize legacy mainframe banking apps into React-based micro-frontends integrated with APIs and middleware. You will lead discovery, requirements elaboration, product definition, and Agile delivery while coordinating Business, Product, Operations, Architecture, UX, Engineering, Automation, and AI teams.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in TPO/BA, 5+ years in Banking/FS, and hands-on AI, automation, and RPA

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Technical Product Owner or Business Analysis roles.
• Experience leading discovery and requirements for modernization/digital transformation.
• 5+ years in Banking/Financial Services.
• Knowledge of deposits, CD, checking, savings, payments, servicing, or lending processes.
• Strong ability to translate capabilities into epics, stories, acceptance criteria.
• Experience facilitating workshops, backlog refinement, and requirements elaboration.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum, product/backlog management, and cross-functional delivery.
• Experience with legacy modernization, APIs, middleware, and modern web apps.
• REST APIs, microservices, system integrations, frontend architectures.
• Experience in AI, automation, RPA, or Generative AI initiatives.
• Knowledge of workflow automation and digital transformation practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery workshops and knowledge transfer sessions across multiple teams.
• Analyze legacy applications and processes to define modernization strategies.
• Translate business capabilities into implementation-ready user stories and criteria.
• Define MVP scope, release plans, and roadmaps.
• Manage and prioritize product backlog with cross-functional teams.
• Facilitate backlog refinement, story grooming, and DoR alignment.
• Collaborate with UX, Eng, QA, and Architecture for delivery.
• Support UAT, defect management, and production deployment.
• Identify AI/automation opportunities and define solutions.
• Ensure governance, security, and compliance in AI initiatives.
