The Banking Manager II works Monday‑Friday at 335 E. St. George Blvd, Suite #103, St. George, UT. Under the direction of the Retail Banking Manager, the BM is responsible for establishing full relationships with clients, consistently creating a great customer experience, and meeting a broad range of banking needs. The role includes routine duties such as mentoring, training, and developing Customer Service Managers and banking associates.
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent; College Degree preferred.
- Minimum of five years’ banking and account‑opening experience.
- Basic computer and Microsoft Office Suite skills.
- Good risk‑based decision‑making skills and the ability to follow complex policies and procedures.

Essential Job Functions
- Serves in a leadership role by developing and mentoring CSMs and banking associates, onboarding and training new team members, and communicating training opportunities or gaps to the Retail Banking Manager.
- Promotes, represents, and welcomes current and potential clients, employees, and vendors to the bank in a professional and inviting manner.
- Develops strong, value‑added relationships with current and prospective customers by engaging in conversations that uncover their financial needs and providing solutions to ensure they feel understood, informed, and confident.
- Manages a portfolio of High Value Relationships (HVRs) by providing regular outreach, consultation, and product recommendations to retain and grow assigned client and business portfolios.
- Leads and encourages a positive working environment, fostering the bank’s cultural beliefs.
- Performs routine, basic, and complex transactions and tasks, including:
- Skill and mastery of banking systems to provide support, training, and resources to team members.
- Provides approvals and overrides for transactions within established limits.
- Collects and submits or approves information for outgoing wire transfers up to specified limits.
- Completes required reports timely and accurately.
- Holds expert knowledge of the bank’s depository and consumer lending products, accounts, apps, and online services; promotes and refers other bank products/services by working closely with partners and converting opportunities to sales when appropriate.
- Actively develops, promotes, and leads awareness campaigns to strengthen customer relationships.
- Maintains comprehensive knowledge of banking regulations related to the role and completes required compliance and job‑specific training.
- Participates and conducts weekly team meetings, facilitating individual and group feedback/training sessions.

Supervisory Requirements
- Supervises a staff of four to eight employees, including banking associates and a Customer Service Manager.
Working Conditions
- Work is performed largely in a pleasant office environment; requires prolonged sitting, standing, and mental and visual concentration for computer usage.
- Must be able to bend, turn, twist, lift and move up to 30 pounds of office supplies, equipment, and coin.
- Position is not telework eligible; all duties must be performed in the bank or office setting.
- Travel may be required between branches and to client meetings or training sessions.
- Attendance is an essential function of the job.
