Sun Recruiting, Inc. is seeking a Banking & Finance Associate Attorney for an Amlaw 50 firm with a sophisticated practice in New York.

The role focuses on high‑value domestic and cross‑border financing matters, including structured finance and syndicated lending, with engagement across lenders and borrowers. The ideal candidate will have 4–6 years of relevant experience at a major law firm, strong academic credentials, and active bar admission.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in applicable jurisdiction, in good standing.
• 4–6 years of substantive experience in structured finance and secured lending at a major law firm.
• Experience representing credit funds and other lenders, and/or borrowers and sponsors in a broad range of financings.
• Familiarity with structured credit, receivables financings, distressed financings, and growth capital transactions.
• Experience collaborating with clients in private credit and special situations space.
• Strong client service orientation with the ability to manage multiple matters efficiently.
• Demonstrated initiative and attention to detail; large law firm experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent credit funds and other lenders/borrowers and sponsors in domestic and international financing transactions.
• Draft and negotiate credit agreements, security documents, intercreditor agreements and related documentation.
• Support receivables financings and other structured credit deals, private credit, syndicated facilities and distressed situations.
• Collaborate with colleagues across offices to deliver seamless client service.
• Manage deal execution from diligence through closing.

Our client, a prestigious Amlaw 50 firm, is seeking a highly motivated Banking & Finance Associate Attorney to join its sophisticated and expanding Banking & Finance practice. This opportunity offers exposure to a wide range of complex domestic and cross-border financing transactions, working alongside a collaborative team known for its technical excellence and client-focused approach.

The ideal candidate will contribute to high-value matters across private credit, structured finance, syndicated lending, distressed financings, receivables financings, and growth capital transactions, representing both lenders and borrowers.

Candidate Profile

• JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in applicable jurisdiction, in good standing.
• 4-6 years of substantive experience instructured finance and secured lending at a major law firm.
• Experience representing credit funds and other lenders, and /or borrowers and sponsors in a broad range of financings, including receivables financings and other structured credit deals, private credit lending, distressed financings and syndicated facilities
• Familiarity with structured credit, receivables financings, distressed financings, and growth capital transactions
• Experience collaborating with clients in the private credit and special situations space, focusing on liability management through receivables financing and other structures designed to provide liquidity to financially distressed companies.
• Strong client service orientation with the ability to manage multiple matters efficiently
• Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, and attention to detail
• Large law firm experience strongly preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Represent credit funds and other lenders and/or borrowers and sponsors in domestic and international financing transactions
• Draft and negotiate credit agreements, security documents, intercreditor agreements, and related transaction documentation
• Support transactions involving receivables financings and other structured credit deals, private credit, syndicated credit facilities, structured finance, and distressed situations
• Collaborate with colleagues across offices and practice groups to deliver seamless client service
• Manage deal execution from initial diligence through closing

Compensation & Benefits

• Annual base salary range of $260,000-$390,000, as determined by experience and market factors.
