WesBanco/Bryans Road Banking Center is seeking a Banking Center Manager to lead daily operations, drive sales, and deliver outstanding customer service. You will supervise staff, coach for success, and partner with business lines to meet client needs in person at the branch and in the community.
This role emphasizes outside prospecting, community involvement, and teamwork to grow deposits, loans, and referrals while ensuring compliance and operational excellence.
The employee will work their scheduled work hours in a designated WesBanco location. Consideration for location will be Bryans Road Banking Center.
Drive employee engagement by enabling a positive work environment that inspires, motivates, challenges, supports and provides ongoing recognition for exceptional performance. Responsible for leading the relationship building efforts, efficient operations of a full service banking center and ensuring the proper training and development of the staff, in order to provide excellent customer service. Directs the overall sales and service initiatives of the location, assumes a proactive role in customer interaction and service to include meeting with customers, discussing their specific banking needs in person both at the branch, and at the customer's location. Work closely with business partners to service existing and prospective customers. Expected to spend significant time conducting outside sales efforts directed at prospecting business and retail customers, and centers of influence and to participate in community service opportunities in the market. This person may be assigned to more than one office. Leads a full-service banking center by driving sales, service, employee engagement, and operational excellence while fostering a positive and high-performing work environment. Builds and strengthens customer relationships through proactive outreach, community involvement, and collaboration with business partners to grow and retain business. Oversees branch operations, compliance, talent acquisition, coaching, and staff development to achieve service, sales, and operational objectives.
Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the banking center staff. Must be able to foster the team concept that includes the banking center staff as well as employees from other lines of business. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Responsibilities include pro-active recruiting, interviewing, and assisting with hiring, coaching and training employees.
Other responsibilities involve planning, assigning and directing work. Must have extensive product knowledge for the level of selling and successfully promoting products expected with position. Must have ability to recognize, identify and recommend the correct solution to meet the customer's need. Must have excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and to be flexible. Proven ability to generate new financial relationships through pro-active outbound calling, outside business development and building a referral network. Strong consumer lending skills are preferred with a solid understanding of small business lending preferred. This includes the ability to conduct a preliminary review of financial statements, tax returns and other financial and business related information. Must possess the ability to effectively interact and build positive business relationships with a variety of retail and commercial customers and to clearly express concepts, ideas and product information verbally and in writing.
The wage range for the Banking Center Manager position is $72,000-74,000 annually and is eligible for incentives and bonuses. The position includes 22 days of PTO (Paid Time Off) and 5 days of STD (Short Term Disability) and 11 annual paid holidays, and 1 float holiday. High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field preferred. Minimum of 3 years of supervisor or leadership experience required. Minimum of 3 years of Cash Handling, Sales or Customer Service experience required.
