Job summary

Carolina-Container-A-Division-of-New-Indy is seeking a production operator to set up and run machines in the designated department. You will secure sheets and tags, load formers and delivery ends, and stack finished products according to the master schedule.

Responsibilities include material checks, quality monitoring, accurate counting, and timely reporting. Maintenance requests should be submitted as needed; safety rules must be followed at all times.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Experience in corrugated manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to read a tape measure and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Set up machines and operate designated department equipment.
• Secure proper cover sheets, tie sheets, and load tags for production runs.

SUMMARY: This position will be responsible for all set up and operation of machines in designated department.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESSecure proper cover sheets, tie sheets, and load tags for production runs.Set-up bundler, hold down arm, load former, and delivery end of machine accurately in accordance with proper setup techniques.Stack finished product in accordance with factory master.Ensure each unit has proper top and bottom cover sheets, tie sheets, and load tags.Ensure correct materials are used to meet customer specifications.Monitor quality and report quality problems to Operator.Ensure correct bundle and unit counts.Report final count of piece unit to operator.Complete necessary reports in an accurate and timely manner.Turn in maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs.
