Job summary

Calvary Christian High School in Clearwater, FL is expanding its music faculty with a full-time Band Teacher. You will teach secondary instrumental music, mentor students, and lead the Warrior Marching Band and Concert Band under the Director of Fine Arts.

The position is 10 months, 7:30 AM–3:30 PM with some evening/weekend events. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Instrumental Music Education, strong teaching and ensemble leadership, and active church involvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Instrumental Music Education or related field.
• Strong instrumental background in woodwinds or percussion; guitar is a plus.
• Experience teaching secondary instrumental music and running rehearsals.
• Active church member aligned with CCHS faith statement; gospel mentorship.
• Willingness to drive vans, chaperone trips, and manage event logistics.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned instrumental courses and supervise Beginning Band and related classes.
• Instruct Warrior Marching Band and Concert Band, lead rehearsals and performances.
• Support student leadership, logistics for band trips, and spiritual mentorship.
