Job summary

Cross Country Allied is seeking a Travel Pathology Assistant for a travel assignment in Baltimore, Maryland. The position involves gross examination, dissection, and tissue sectioning of surgical specimens, with potential photography and radiography support.

The role requires Certified Pathologist Assistant (PA) certification, ASCP BOR certification, and NAACLS-accredited training or equivalent in biological/health sciences; 40 hours/week, days shift, 8 hours per day, 13 weeks duration.

Qualifications

• Certified Pathologist Assistant (PA) certification from ASCP or approved certifying agency.
• Prior hospital setting experience.
• Graduation from NAACLS-accredited Pathologist Assistant Training, and ASCP BOR certification, or Bachelor's degree in biological/health sciences.

Responsibilities

• Perform gross examinations and dissection of complex surgical specimens.
• Describe and section tissue for pathology processing.
• Capture specimen photography and radiography as needed; follow SOPs and safety protocols.
