Job summary

King County Elections in Renton seeks a Ballot Collection Lead to organize ballot collection teams, train temporary staff, and support fleet and warehouse logistics. You will help ensure every ballot is collected securely, efficiently, and on schedule.

The role requires strong communication, data tracking, and the ability to adapt to rapid changes during peak election times. You will supervise staff, coordinate drop box operations, and maintain high standards of accuracy and customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience overseeing a diverse group of workers in a team-focused environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication including instruction, training, and feedback.
• Experience maintaining and tracking data, data analysis, and designing data sources.
• Ability to present information to large diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing staffing forecasts and recommending ballot collection methods using established guidelines.
• Distribute workload among short-term temporary employees, provide direction and training and monitor quality.
• Assist in establishing work methods and recommend workload changes to improve processes.
• Organize and coordinate work activities, assist in employee selection, and provide input on performance.
• Provide direction to driving teams and drop box closers, including training and dispatching.
• Assist with drop box collection and closing needs, including box integrity and security.
